“Divine Pleasures”, 2008 – 2009 Galleri Sinne in Helsinki, Finland. Installation consisting of a piece of sculpture and 13 paintings. Sculpture: original textiles taken from the Greek Orthodox Church.Silk, linen, cotton, wool, polyester and acrylic. Dimensions variable. 13 paintings: watercolours and pencil on paper. 51 x 35,5 cm. The fond of inspiration for this project is the concept of religion in general and more precisely the colourful world of the Orthodox Church. The original textiles and patterns make reference to the materiality and vanity that rule spiritual ideas in our societies, transformed here into pieces of fetishism.
